The traditional trail blaze dates back to the nineteenth century. A swatch of paint on a tree to mark a trail is a simple idea but it works perfectly. There is something comforting about seeing one of those little reassurance markers especially when you are seventeen miles into a trail with 28lbs on your back. With this design we take away the tree while leaving its distinctive texture shown in the blue paint.
